Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney



Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, is an experienced statesman and lawyer who currently lives and works in Greensboro, North Carolina.

It is easy to see that Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, is a North Carolina man to the core. He was born and raised in Greensboro. His father worked for Western Electric Corporation, an electrical engineering and manufacturing firm based in New York, but with operations in Winston-Salem. Unfortunately, his father died when he was nine years old, and he was raised by his mother as an only child.

From an early age, Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, demonstrated a commitment to bettering himself. He was active in Boy Scouts and rose to the rank of Eagle, the highest rank in scouting. He worked his way through high school as a playground director for the City of Greensboro, and was the captain of his high school tennis team. Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, also held jobs at a department store and at a Greensboro shopping center.

After graduating from Grimsley High School, Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, enrolled in Wake Forest University at Chapel Hill. Wake Forest is one of the nation's most respected universities, recognized for its outstanding academic reputation and challenging liberal arts curriculum. Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, was the first Wake Forest student to be awarded highest honors in speech in 1974.

After graduation, Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, received a Lectureship to the School of Government and Public Administration at American University in Washington, where he taught undergraduate political science and attended graduate school. Senator Robert Morgan hired him as his legislative clerk, where he served two years before returning to law school at Wake Forest University School of Law. He made the Wake Forest Law Review and received a North Carolina scholarship.
