Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney: Greensboro City Council



Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, practices law in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he has spent most of his life. He was born and grew up there, received his education in Greensboro and several North Carolina Institutions, and spent fourteen years as a member of the Greensboro City Council. He was t he city’s Mayor Pro Tem for two terms. Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, also served for four years in the North Carolina State Senate.


After graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, received a Lectureship to the School of Government and Public Administration at American University in Washington DC, where he taught undergraduate political science and attended graduate school. Senator Robert Morgan hired him as his legislative clerk, and he served the Senator for two years before returning to law school at Wake Forest University School of Law. He made the Wake Forest Law Review and received a North Carolina scholarship.

Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, has always been an active member of his community. He was appointed to the North Carolina Courts Commission and has served on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Board of Visitors. 

Donald R. Vaughan, Attorney, is also a member of the Greensboro Rotary Club, and a Fellow at the Institute of Political Leadership. He has been a Board Member of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Greensboro Merchants Association, and sat on the Greensboro Sports Council. He is also a Sunday School Teacher at the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
